How to Debug an Extension Issue

If you're having an unexpected issue with adding offers via the extension, please follow these steps to help debug the issue:


  • Log into the bank website you're having trouble with
  • Start recording a HAR (only start AFTER you've logged in to ensure no bank logins are saved), and leave the console window open
  • Refresh the bank website
  • Scroll down to the offers section of the bank website so that they load there
  • Click the Add Offers with CardPointers button, select an offer, then save at the bottom right
  • Stop recording the HAR
  • Save the full console log into a new file

Send both the HAR and the console log to support@cardpointers.com as email attachments (zip the HAR first to make it much smaller), and include the following information:

  • Browser name and version
  • Current version of the extension (found at the bottom of its settings screen)
  • How many cards with offers you have on this account
