Filtering and Sorting Offers

Every default view in the app is designed to show the most relevant information for most uses cases, but there's a lot of power hidden behind that little filter button.

The most common actions are just one tap away with the shortcuts bar, where you see just your favorite offers, group them, sort by newest or expiring, and more.

But the filter button gives you even more control, and you can combine each one to filter your offers any way that you need.

Here are all of the ways you can filter and sort the standard offers (the credits which you get automatically just for having the card, like the Amex Gold's monthly Uber credit) and the personal targeted offers you can auto-add with the CardPointers extension:

Group Offers

Grouping offers allows you to group all of the cards by offer. With the CardPointers extension you can add the same offer across all eligible cards, so this a great way to see how you can take advantage of the best offers multiple times. This view also lets you take bulk action on an offer across all cards at once.

Favorites

Choose between including, excluding, or viewing only your favorite offers to help you manage those easily, and make sure you never miss the best ones.

Category

Select any category to see just offers for those types of purchases.

Value

Find the best offers in an instant by filtering the list by value.

Type

View your standard offers (like the monthly credits on the Amex Gold card), or just your personal, targeted offers that you've auto-added via the extension.

Card

New for CardPointers 6, you can now filter all of your offers by card. You can also see all offers by card from the Card Details screen, and searching in the Offers screen will also surface all offers if the search query matches the card name.

Location

CardPointers 5 added the ability to find any offers which are available at nearby merchants, so you can quickly find the best deals when you're out shopping. This pairs particularly well with Amex and Chase Offers which have savings at a lot of everyday merchants.

Sorting

In addition to filtering all of your offers, you can also sort all of them in different ways:

  • Default: Sorts offers by those ending soonest and then by value.
  • Alphabetical: Sorts offers alphabetically (not surprised, right?)
  • Offer Added: Sorts offers by the time they were added; great when used with the extension so you can see which offers were just added. Activate with one tap via the Newest shortcut button in the top row.
  • Offer End: Sorts offers by those expiring soonest. Activate with one tap via the Expiring shortcut button in the top row.
  • Value: Sort offers by those with the highest value first.

Swipe Gestures and Context Menus

Throughout the app, you can swipe and tap and hold for shortcuts for common actions. In the Offers tab, you can quickly redeem, favorite, snooze, or delete an offer with a swipe left or right. Tap and hold and you can take those same actions, or use the shortcuts to Add or Set a specific amount when you use an offer, which is particularly useful when tracking sign-up bonuses and other big offers.
